2024: A year in review

It’s almost time to spend our days in cosy sweaters eating all of the festive treats. But before we sign out for another year, it’s time for your annual Sign In App round-up. 

Every year we say it’s been the best and busiest year yet, but 2024 truly has. This year, the Sign In App community has grown to over 19,000 sites, signing in over 150 million people across the globe. We released one of our most requested features, made lots of enhancements to existing features and (spoiler alert) we’re ending the year by joining forces with one of our well-respected competitors. 

Below is a quick recap of the year that’s passed and some teasers of what’s to come in 2025…

2024 recap

We kicked off 2024 with one of our biggest feature releases to date - Time & Attendance. Time & Attendance is our powerful add-on that transforms Sign In App into a robust timekeeping tool. It introduced Activity Status to track and categorise how time is spent while signed, Working Hours to assign and manage shift patterns, Absence Management to enable your team to request, approve and record absences, as well as other enhancements such as new and improved reporting tools. 

While a lot of 2024 was dedicated to improving and adding to Time & Attendance, our development team were also busy working on enhancements to other existing features in Sign In App. Some of the top updates included: 

  • Companion app PIN protect
  • Ukrainian, Turkish & Croatian language support
  • Custom translations on pre-registration email templates
  • Host push notifications on Companion app
  • Multiple on-site reports

Looking ahead to 2025
